Archival Storage Building

TCHCC has outgrown its original 20X40 storage building and is having to store items in places that are not ideal for preservation. This is a dire need and vital to the expansion of TCHCC. The plans are to construct a new 40X60 archival storage building. Our goal is to raise $80,000.

Frank's Place & General Store

Another project that is in the works is the recreation of a new General Store and Tavern. The current set-up in the Village is not sufficient for visitors’ safe access and the display and protection of the artifacts. Plans are in the works to replicate Frank’s Place (which is where the bar that is currently on display comes from) that was on the square in downtown La Grange. The General Store will also be rebuilt adjacent to Frank’s Place to allow visitors a safer and better experience when touring. Our goal is to raise $80,000.

Endowment Fund

We did it! Thanks to you we reached the $50,000 goal of the challenge grant offered by William Melnar. We continue to accept donations to this fund so that the interest will help pay for the operation of the Center in the future. Any amount will make a difference!
